Entry | Very quiet day. CO and Capt Radford went round centre section of line in morning. A scheme for improving the billets for winter occupation was considered. Two working parties, one of 100 men at 8am and another of 125 men at 8pm were found. Report received that 16th and 18th Brigades had captured enemy's first line on a front of 700 yards near HOOGE, 3 officers and 125 men taken prisoner. Casualties slight. 6 promotions to A/Cpl made. |
