Entry | We moved to MAILLY-MAILLET, in Support to the Oxfords & Bucks who were holding the front line there. We moved by Coys 9.0a.m. onwards. The billets at MAILLY-MALLET were good, with cellar accommodation - standing only, for all. The village was almost deserted, being quite unhealthy in consequence of shelling every day and evening. Weather:- a fine day; very noisy night - our guns and theirs firing continually from dusk until dawn. 300 of the Battn bathed in the afternoon. Remarks 30 of the GEZAINCOURT party retd. |
