| Entry | Only the usual inspections by the Quartemaster and Platoon Commanders etc were held. The Commanding Officer spoke to the Battalion, reading out to them the messages received from the Corps and Divisional Commanders re their attack on the 18th/19th. A Brigade Conference of Commanding Officers was held at 4.30p.m. re the attack by the 144 Brigade. Weather:- a very hot day. Remarks Lt Goolden rej'd from Div HQ & assumed Com of A Coy. Lt Ward resigned the duties of Adjt & took Com of D Coy. 2/Lt James apptd Ast Adjt. 2/Lt Gregory trs to D Coy. 2/Lt Hampshire to C Coy. |
