Regiment 1/4th Royal Berkshire
Location France, Cramont
Entry During our stay at CRAMONT all ranks in the Battalion had thrown at least two live bombs each and this practice proved of very great use in the fight by B Company on the 18th/19th. The Division left the CRAMONT district during the day. Our Brigade left at 7.15a.m., arriving at BEAUVAL at 12.15p.m. onwards. We left at 7.15a.m. leading the Brigade. It was a very hard march, very dusty and hot. 79 men fell out but the men marched well. - the great majority of those who fell out marched till they dropped from the great heat. We occupied our old billets at BEAUVAL to the joy of all ranks. Weather:- a very hot day.
