Entry We relieved the BUCKS in the OVILLERS Section by 1.30p.m. - A Coy in the front line: D Coy in support: B and C in Reserve. A very trying day for the shelling was continuous till dark. D Coy had arranged to attack Point 40 at dusk, but at 5.30p.m. orders were received to try and take Point 3A 23: two Companies of the GLOSTERS under Major Coller, came up to support us (see Report) The trenches in the OVILLERS Section were in many places bad. The work there the enemy had put in was well worth inspecting. Remarks Casualties:- 2/Lt Teed Killed, 2/Lt Kenney Wounded. O Ranks:- 2 Killed, 43 Wounded including 9 Shell Shock.
