Entry The 5th GLOSTERS relieved us by 8.0a.m., our last platoon arriving in bivouacs at SAILLY by 9.30a.m. We handed over the trenches in a very different state to what they were when we took over. Weather:- a fine day: showers at intervals. Working parties were found from C Coy to work under the REs at HEBUTERNE all the day - 96 men in all. The other three Companies were under their Company Commanders for the day. The "Curios" came over and give their entertainment in the afternoon - an excellent performance. Remarks Capt Lewis rejd the Bn as Col Wethered had been sent out from England to Command and Major Danielsen 2nd in Command.
