Entry All day and night was spent in dealing with the water and mud, pumps being kept going continuously. We received orders about 1.0o'clock to make all preparations for letting off smoke, but the order was cencelled about 4.30. B Coy relieved A Coy: D Coy relieved C Coy, A moving to SAILLY, C to FORT GROSVERNOR. 2,000 "P" Grenades were sent up late at night to positions in the front line. Orders were received for all arrangements to be made to let these off at an hour's notice. Their guns were fairly active all day, and their Machine Guns at night. Weather:- a lovely day. Remarks Casualties:- 3 wounded. 2/Lieut Buck, 5th R Warwicks attd to us & posted to D Coy.
