Entry We were relieved by the 5th WARWICKS in the morning, the relief commencing at 11.30a.m. The Battalion moved to huts at COUIN, the last platoon arriving about 4.0p.m. A Conference of Commanding Officers was held at Brigade at 5.30p.m. and of Company Commanders at Battalion HQ at 7p.m. All Companies were inspected by the Quartermaster for Clothing, Boots etc. in the afternoon. Extracts from London Gazette of 22.6.16:- Major (tempy Lieut Col) R J Clarke, to be Lieut Colonel, April 19th '16. Captain G A Battcock to be Major, April 19th, 1916.
