Entry A full Battalion parade was held at 10.0a.m. when the Commanding Officer presented a Divisional Card to Lieut Wells for distinguished conduct in the field on the night of 24/25th April, and also read out a list of honours and awards, as affecting the Battalion, in the Birthday List, as follows:- Order of St Michael and St George, Companion Lt Col (Bt Col) Oswald Pearce Serocold, 4th Royal Berkshire Regt. (T F) Military Medal 12 Sergt A W Beasley, 1/4th Royal Berkshire Regiment 445 Sergt R A Wickens " " " " The Battalion moved off at 1.45p.m. to join the Brigade at YURENCHEUX for field operations in conjunction with the 144th Brigade. Operations ceased at 6.45p.m. and the Battalions returned to billets very wet as rain began to fall at 6.30p.m. Weather:- a fine day, rain at night. Remarks Lt Hine and Lt Teed went to Divl School.
