Entry Working parties as on the 9th instant. B and D Companies relieved A and C Companies after tea. The dispositions of the Right Company were re-arranged:- by DAY, one platoon in the front line, one platoon in CABER, one in WORCESTER ST, one in PIMLICO. By NIGHT, 2 platoons in the front line, 1 in CABER and one in WORCESTER ST. Company HQ PIMLICO. The Brigade Reserve HQ and 2 platoons at SAILLY, 2 platoons only in VERCINGETORIX. Enemy's guns were fairly quiet, but their Minenwerfers were active. At 4.0a.m. they put in six of the latter on the Right, at 6.0p.m. eight more on the Right, and at 7.45p.m. 4 more. Their rifle Grenades were again active all night. Weather:- a fine day. Remarks Capt Bean (RAMC) 2/Lieuts H S Teed, A W Beasley and N Clayton went on Leave. Capt Murray 2nd FA came in Capt Bean's place.
