Entry We relieved the 4th OXFORDS in the new "G" Sector in the afternoon, leaving COUIN 1.30p.m. onwards. Dispositions:- A Company - Right: Fire Trench Company C Company - Left: Fire Trench Company B Company - Battalion Reserve D Company - Brigade Reserve Stations as follows:- A Company - NAIRNE STREET to WRANGLE. Front Line:- 2 Platoons - JONES. CABER. WORCESTER. STREET. Support:- 2 Platoons - Headquarters CABER C Company:- WRANGLE to the SERRE ROAD Front Line - 2 Platoons - OXFORD STREET, GUINDET. Support - 2 Platoons H Qrs - VAUBAN B Company:- PIMLICO - 2 Platoons VERCINGETORIX - 2 Platoons HQ - PIMLICO D Company:- VERCINGETORIX - 4 Platoons and HQ. The trenches were in fair condition, but the right of the Left Company and the right of the Left Company were isolated and could only be reached by night. Working parties were employed on all the front line and support line, clearing and improving the trenches, also wiring front and support lines. Weather: a showery day. Remarks A Draft of 50 joined the Battalion. Map attached.
