| Entry | Relieved at 6am by KRR. Returned to billets at LE QUESNOY. Two parties on 1 NCO and 9 men had to be found every 8 hours for mining also 3 parties of 1 NCO and 30 during the day to work under the RE. Major Hunt commanding 2nd Battn and Lieut Hanbury Sparrow DSO Adjt 2nd Battn came over. Captain L W Bird automatically becomes temporary Major after one month in command of the Battn. Major Bird proceeded on leave to England. |
