Entry Parades were held under Company Commanders, except for Details who worked under their respective Officers, Lewis gun teams, Stretcher Bearers, Buzzers Bandsmen, All trained bombers from D Company marched to SAILLY under Lieut Lund and practiced throwing live grenades. All officers junior to Lieut Ward paraded under the Adjutant and all NCOs of C and D Companies under the Sergeant Major at 2.30p.m. The Range was allotted to A Company for Grouping practice - 5 rounds at 100 yards - every man present with Company firing. A Flamenwerfer Demonstration was given by the 4th Army Chemical Adviser in the morning, each company detailing 12 to attend. Later a demonstraton of the effects of Lachrymatory shells was given. Weather: a lovely day.
