Entry Working parties as on the 23rd. The enemy's guns were quieter in the morning, but in the afternoon they bombarded the new trench with "minnies" and shells. At 11.40p.m. they again heavily bombarded the new trench. Our guns replied. At 12.10a.m.(25th) the enemy again opened fire and on our replying they ceased. During the second bombardment their "minnies" were all bursting in the air. Weather: a lovely day and fine night. Remarks Casualties - 5 wounded, 1 shell shock.
