Regiment | 1/4th Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, Hebuterne |
Entry | All working parties on pumping and clearing up the trenches. Enemy's guns were much more active all the day, paying attention to our Centre and Left in the morning and right all the afternoon. More of their Infantry were seen moving on the roads behind the enemy lines than for many weeks past. One of their aeroplanes three times approached the new trench but each time it was turned back by "Lewis" gun fire. Weather: a wet day and night. Remarks Lt Sharpe rejoined the Battn from Trench Mortar Battery. |
