Entry The 5th GLOSTERS relieved as 9.30a.m. onwards, HQrs, A and B Coys going to the Huts at COUIN: C and D Coys to billets at SAILLY-AU-BOIS: the last platoon arrived at the huts about 2.30p.m. The roads were all very heavy. The mud in the woods was inches deep and there were no Corduroy paths: the roofs of the huts in many places leaked. Weather: a wet day. Remarks Lts Calder and Goolden returned from Leave, also Lieut Payne.
