Regiment | 1/4th Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, Hebuterne |
Entry | Working parties as on the 23rd - morning and evening. The Guns on both sides were fairly quiet all day. The Battery South of PUISIEUX fired 5 shells in the morning - all "duds" again. Their M Guns were more active at the morning "stand-to". A patrol in charge of Lieut Cooke (6 men) went out from BUCQUOY Barricade half way to the enemy's lines: nothing of interest was seen and there were no signs at the "LONE TREE" of a sniper's post. Weather:- a fine morning, rain in the afternoon. Remarks Lieut Calder returned from Leave, an extension having been granted for medical reasons. |
