| Entry | Working parties as on the 21st, morning and evening. Our guns carried out a bombardment, chiefly on GOMMECOURT CEMETERY and 862. The enemy's guns answered vigorously in the first half-hour, about 150 shells falling in our Section, - Field guns, 4.20's and 5.9's. This was followed by quite a noisy night, guns, MGs,rifles, all Bombs being fired continuously. Weather:- a fine day, some rain at night. Remarks Casualties, 1 killed. |
