| Entry | Working parties as on the 12th - morning only. Our guns carried out a bombardment in the morning chiefly between GOMMECOURT CEMETERY and FERME SANS NOM, the 9.2's being very attentive to the trenches between the CEMETERY and the WOOD. Enemy guns put a few shells on REMAUD and BIRON in the morning, and in answer to our bombardment more on our front line and the BRICKFIELDS. By night their flares were sent up from their Second line. Weather:- a fine morning, a heavy squall in the afternoon, and rain at night. |
