Entry Working parties as on the 15th, the trenches shewing an inprovement. The Breastwork Sap was commenced in front of Battaile - two parties of 20 men each and a covering screen of 10 were found, each party worked 4 hours, 8 -12: and 12 - 4a.m. The enemy put about 50 shells into our left and orchard trenches from 7 to 9a.m., and 8 round the BRICKFIELDS 11.45a.m. Aeroplanes were active both sides. Weather:- a fine day, cold night. Remarks Lt CALDER retd from the Base. The MO went on a fortnights leave on his re-engagement, and a draft of 20 men joined the Battalion.
