| Entry | Very little improvement could be made on the trenches. "A" Company relieved the 20th MANCHESTER'S Company at 6.45a.m. the latter moving to COUIN, marching by platoons. They were a good Battalion, but their tour of instruction had been spoilt by the appalling weather. The enemy's guns were farly active in morning and afternoon. Weather:- a wet day and night. |
