| Entry | No improvement in the trenches or weather. "A" company 20th MANCHESTERS took over the Right Section of the line in the afternoon. Our guns carried out a postponed bombardment at 2.0p.m. about 500 shells were fired in altogether, the enemy's reply being greater than usual. At 9.45p.m. they sent up five red lights, followed immediately by bursts of MG fire. Weather:- a wet day and night. |
