Entry Working parties from "C" and "D" Companies were employed in the trenches, front and Support, and also Communication. The enemy fired a few shells on LASSALLE, GUDIN, BIRON in the morning. A large working party was heard near FERME SANS NOM about 9.30p.m. and was fired on by on of our MG's which was laid in the trench; loud shouts and cries were heard. A band was heard in the evening in the direction of BUCQUOY. Their MGs and rifles were active all night. Weather:- a cold showery day, with frost again at night.
