Regiment | 1/4th Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, Authie |
Entry | Working Parties as per Programme. Church Parade for the rest of the Battalion was held 11.45a.m. in the field now known as the "Berkshire Field". In the afternoon a special test with some of the Rifles belonging to the Battalion was made to try, if possible, to prove the fault of the continual "jamming": both short and long rifles were tried, and although the result was very varying, the ammunition seemed to be the cause. "C" Company's Grenadiers paraded under Lieut Hine 9.15a.m. for instruction. Weather:- a fine day. |
