Entry Working parties - "C" Coy on MESSENA - BIRON old and new dug-outs. "D" Company Battalion HQ and left Coy new HQ. Two platoons RIR carrying bricks Communication Trenches 76,77 and 78. A Company of RIR took over the line at 3.30p.m., 2 platoons to Right Section 2 to Left. The position of our two Companies remained the same, but all duties were taken by the RIR. A concert was heard about 6.30p.m. from the direction of FERME SANS NOM, a gramaphone, musical instruments and from one account, a womans voice singing was heard. A few further shells were fired at GUDIN at 3.45p.m. A fine day but misty. Remarks Casualty: 1 wounded
