| Entry | Working parties from D company on dug-outs behind MASSENA, BIRON, Battn HQ and trench leading to 76. "A" company on new Company HQ. "C" Company on new Company HQ. A squadron of 12 Allied Aeroplanes passed over our right Section at 3.40p.m. proceeding in a NE direction and returning at intervals at 4.0p.m. Bombs were dropped on PUISIEUX, where explosions and a column of white smoke were observed. A fine day, but wet night. The enemy sent four lights - red and green alternately from the direction of SERRE at half-hour intervals, from 10.30p.m. to midnight, no result followed. Remarks Lieut Goolden went on Leave. |
