| Entry | A Company found working party 2 Officers and 125 men for work on the Corps line. The Commanding Officer inspected B,C, and D companies. Two "Special Orders of the Day" were received re the recent fighting. The battalion received orders in the morning to be ready to move off at half an hour's notice with the SAA, Water, Tool and Medical Carts, or with full Transport at an hours notice. All baggage is to be reduced to the minimum, viz., Officers Kits to 20 pounds, Company Messes one box of 56 pounds, and no surplus stores of any description. A fine day |
