| Entry | Working parties from "D" as on the 31st [?21st] The guns of the 4th Division opened fire on PUISIEUX at 1.0p.m., the enemy replied on HEBUTERNE, 1 shell falling in the Battalion HQ and another in the next house. A lovely day. A lively night with guns MG and Rifle fire. At 8.40a.m. a few shells fell on GUDIN: at 1.50p.m. on JENA. In the night the enemy signalled by flash the following message two or three times "J.B. Good luck Central. G.A GA." Remarks Lt Challenor went to Div'l HQ as temporary ADC to GOC Division. |
