Entry Working parties from A & B Coys were found for wood working & harvesting. C Coy route-marched for two hours, & D Coy carried out the attack practise 10.0a.m. Part of the 22nd Division marched, through AUTHIE on their way to the trenches for instuction. The Brigadier, with the Adjutant, inspected the billets. In recognition of the good work done by the 145 Brigade, the GOC granted 20 special leaves, 5 of which were allotted to our Battalion. Lieut Gathorne-Hardy had the honour of receiving the Military Cross from the had of HM the KING at WINDSOR CASTLE. A lovely day. Remarks Lieut Challenor went on leave. Capt Aldworth & Lieut Hughes returned from Leave.
