Entry | Working parties as on the 28th. Nos. 8,15, and 16 Platoons of the 11 WARWICKS relieved Nos.5,6,&7, 7p.m. onwards. Very heavy rain, commencing about 5.30p.m., and continuing till 10.0p.m. made the relief and their first few hours in the trenches very uncomfortable. Three Batteries were covering our Front - 3rd WARWICKS on the left; 1st GLOSTERS centre; 3rd GLOSTERS right. Enemy snipers unusually active in the past 24 hours. Remarks Capt Boyle ret'd from sick leave. |
