Regiment | 1/4th Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, Hebuterne |
Entry | Work in the morning as on the 12th. We were relieved by the 4th OXFORDS, 8.30p.m. onwards. The Battn took over the billets of the 5th GLOSTERS as the HEBUTERNE Garrison, relieving 7.30p.m. onwards. All Coys were billeted in THE KEEP, but in the case of the "Alarm" 2 Companys only remain as the Garrison of THE KEEP, the remaining 2 Coys taking up the positions in the outer defence. Very comfortable billets but cellar accommodation not sufficient for the whole Battalion. New dug-outs will have to be made when the work on the outer defences is completed. A showery day. Report Lt Challoner (wounded), Capts Lewis, Boyle went on leave. |
