Entry The trenches were shelled most of the day, fortunately with no Casualties. The French guns effectively silenced the enemy each time they opened fire. A working party of 150 men from B Coy was found for the West End of the village 6pm - 9p.m.The Battalion was relieved by the 4th Oxfords at 7.30p.m. onwards, the Companies relieving at the same time by the different Communication trenches. Each Platoon marched to SAILLY AU BOIS, where the Battalion went into Brigade Reserve. Comfortable billets. Weather:- showery.
