Regiment | 1st Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, VERQUIN and CUINCHY |
Entry | Btn left billets at 10am and proceeded by march route to take over trenches in front of CUINCHY. Relief was completed by 2.30pm. The Northamptons, who had only been in the trenches two days informed us that they were very dirty - and so they proved to be. Extent of the front was from the Railway Embankment on the North to RIDLEY Walk on the South. It was a long front of over five hundred yards. |
