| Entry | Foggy morning. Germans opened fire from a flank with a machine gun but did no damage. 5th Bde on our left reported that some activity was taking place in the German lines and that they thought the enemy might attack. Patrols were therefore sent out, but they discovered nothing, although they went up to the German wire. 26th Reinforcement arrived. Lt D E Ward. 2/Lieut N C Clifford Smith, and 70 other ranks. |
