Regiment | 1st Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, GRENAY |
Entry | KING GEORGE V's Birthday. Battalion in the trenches. The trenches are good, though taking trenches over from the French means that a lot of work has to be done to them. The French fire through loopholes, and we like to be able to employ every rifle over the parapet. The men were therefore kept hard at work deepening and widening communication trenches, and making firing steps. |
