Regiment 1st Royal Berkshire
Location France, LES BREBIS
Entry The battalion in billets at LES BREBIS. It was found that the French had left their billets in a most insanitary condition. A very great deal of work had, therefore, to be done, but owing to the efforts of our Medical Officer, Captain S D LARGE RAMC, the difficulties were soon overcome. The Commanding officer, Major C G HILL DSO inspected the last reinforcement, which was composed of old hands of an excellent stamp for the most part. Companies held inspections of kit, boots, feet, etc. Lovely weather, sunny and bright. Nothing of interest to report.
