Entry Btn remained as per overnight. Orders were received to be prepared to support the firing line at any moment. At 5pm orders were received that the whole brigade would be pulled out. At 6.30pm therefore the Battalion started on its way to BETHUNE, and was billeted in MONTMORENCY BARRACKS. The men although very tired, and despite the loss of many of their comrades, marched well, and maintained their soldierly appearance. The 23rd Reinforcements arrived. 128 other ranks.
