| Entry | Battalion in the trenches. Germans shelled Battalion Head Quarters and obtained two direct hits - no damage was done, Captain MC Radford who was washing at the time was covered in the debris but was unhurt. Our patrols, working at night, discovered two German wire parties, one of which they bombed, the other rapid fire was opened on from our main trenches - the Germans ceased putting up any more wire entanglements for the night. |
