Entry | On the night of 16th/17th April 1917, the Battalion took over the Outpost Line held by part of the Left Coy of the 2nd DEVONSHIRE Regt and the Right Coy of the 1st RL IRISH RIFLES, from the track in GAUCHE WOOD inclusive to the road running N.E. to GONNELIEU inclusive (X.I.b.4.8). Two Coys in front line, one Coy in Support at X.I.c.6.4 and one Coy in Reserve at HEUDICOURT. |
