Entry Btn in billets. Magnificent weather. Companies at the disposal of O.C. Coys. Training continued. "A" Coy practiced in putting up wire entanglements, D Coy scheme set by GOC Brigadier Gen F Fanshawe In the afternoon a most interesting and instructive Staff Ride was done, Brigadier General F Fanshawe conducted the exercise. The best method of putting out advanced guards and searching of houses was discussed and much valuable information gained as the outcome of the exercise. 21st Reinforcement arrived. 2 officers* 50 other ranks. * 2 Lieut L.H. Alison 3rd Btn R Berks Rgt * 2 Lieut H.H.R. Hilliard 1st R Berks Rgt. 2/Lt A.J. Bowles joins Bde staff. Captain E.M. Allfrey returned off leave from England.
