Regiment | 1st Royal Berkshire |
---|---|
Location | France, BEUVRY - CUINCHY |
Entry | Battalion relieved 1st Btn KINGS regiment in the trenches - First company left billets at 8am and the last at 10am. Relief was completed by 1pm. Trenches were very wet and damp after the very heavy rain of the preceding days, and a great deal of work had consequently to be done. It was thought that the enemy were mining in the vicinity of the left company along the Railway Embankment, no definite proof however was established. |
