Entry 2359. B Coy HQ subjected to en mortar and arty fire. 5 cas sustained. All cas were of psnl other than B Coy and the incident provided an object lesson in precautions nec by day in the fwd areas. There is a silent gentleman's agreement between the opposing forces that offensive action will not be taken against observed individuals or parties of not more than three. Four of the personnel injured were part of a TK and Pnr recce parties moving in the area without reference to B Coy Comd. Wounds were superficial. The fifth cas, who was seriously wounded in the head, was a DR, the only person whose presence was authorised. Otherwise quiet day. Weather fine, sunny, warm. Clear moonlight at night.
