Entry 2359. After dark, B Coy relieved rt fwd Coy and D left fwd Coy. All reliefs were carried out without incident. The DUNKIRK grn is believed to number some 10,500. Fwd en psns are manned by reliable GERMAN tps, but some proportion of the grn consists of RUSSIAN, POLISH, JUGOSLAV and other mixed elements. 5 KINGS picked up three JUGOSLAV deserters night 16/17 Mar. It is Comd Offr's intention to be as aggressive as circumstances permit, an intention supported by Major General A. LISKA, Comd 1 CIAB Gp, whom Comd Offr visited today. Weather:- fine, cool.
