Fwd Coys manned OP's and patrolled extensively on orders of Bde Comd that every effort was to be made to ascertain whether en were still occupying posns on far bank. No signs were seen, however, of the en all day. One Civ, carrying BELGIAN Identity papers, gave himself up to D Coy after waving a white flag from EAST bank of R MAAS and being collected in an assault boat. Orders were received that no civs would be allowed to land on WEST bank and to discourage them, dummy minefields consisting of danger notices are to be put along the WEST BK.
