Entry 0105: Bn ordered to move across river via ferry at PUDDING as soon as possible 0245: Bn. O.Gp. At Bn HQ. Bn to move forthwith. Order of march D,B,C, Bn HQ, A. 0315: Bn HQ moved off & crossed river. 0655: Place 854972: Bn. Conc. In position. 'S' mines found in field near river, & in orchard affording cover. Casualties - 6 0930: Bn. Ordered to provide 1 Coy to relieve coy L.I.R. at LORENZO. - Phone message 0955: A Coy ordered to carry out LORENZO relief. 1325: C.O. ordered to Bde. 2 Coys to stand by at immediate notice to move. When at Bde C.O. was told to have 2 coys ready to counterattack to clear enemy infiltrating from the West into SALVATITO (see SITREP to coys) 1615: Sitrep issued to Coys 1710: C.O. to Bde. At 1810 he phoned the Bn. To say that A & D coys would NOT be required to counterattack, & LORENZO relief would now take place. L.I.R to attack CASTELFORTE. Bn prepare to exploit towards CORENO. 1830: Further information rept. To coys. 2245: Bn O.Gp. Detailed orders issued for exploitation through L.I.R. NIGHT 19/20: L.I.R. failed to take CASTELFORTE
