Serial 81: Date 19 Nov: Time 1100: Unit 1 LS: Informant OP: Movement on RAZOR BACK. Remarks: May be own tps Serial 82: Date 19 Nov: Time 1400: Unit LIR: Informant P: Observing from 933033 seen Mortar fire from 925041. Shots fired from 926031 not at patrol. House at MASSA LA VALLE still occupied Serial 83: Date 19 Nov: Time 1750: Unit 1 LS: Informant OP: Area 952070 and top of RAZOR BACK active all day. 20 or more men carelessly shaving themselves and building breastworks of stone and earth. Movement seen on saddle between RAZOR BACK and MONASTERY and on COCURUZZO ridge, and at 940055 where 7 or 8 men were seen Serial 84: Date 19 Nov: Time 1830: Unit LIR: Informant P: 1430 hrs blankets hanging out near olive grove SR 928039. 1550 hrs two GERMANS came from behind dead foliage a few yds away and shook blankets, and spread them out, then returned. Suspect enemy posn covering rd junc SR 930035. 1525-1705 veh movement seen both ways on rd SANDRA 8806 at 1705 hrs, MC followed by large truck came down hill. No movement since then. Serial 85: Date 19 Nov: Time 2250: Unit LIR: Informant P: Pt 625 no enemy. Heights 9305, 9306 have men digging in. Spandau post on pt 430 937063. Lot of casual talking in CALABRITTO area. Heard sounds of tracked vehs during night which might have been on river rd in COCURRUZO area. Pts 819 and 727 are occupied, spandau post on pt 727. Digging heard and estimated either one or two pl posn between pt 819 and 727. Shelling of VANDRIA, CLEMENTE and GALLUCIO appeared to come from pt 819 area and ROCCA d'EVANDRO EASTWARDS, but at a great distances. A dug-out posn at 935056 showed signs of recent occupation and there were a lot of muddy tracks leading away from it Remarks: Patrol leaders opinion is that enemy is re-occupying posns on heights and digging in. Enemy are not very thick on ground but are holding very strong points |
