Entry 0130: Last troops (Bn HQ) passed check point 0300: Place CROCE: Bn arrives VEZZAROLA embasses 0430: Arrives Bivouac area 958020 GENERAL POINTS - BATTLE at CALABRITTO Nov 10 - 15 6 German attacks were repulsed in first 12 hrs during which hand to hand fighting with grenades etc. took place. Communications to C Coy cut until operation of night 12/13 Jan [sic]. Upper hand gained by coordination of all possible fire spt. 3" Mortar, 4.2" Mortar MMG and arty and aggressive use. Casualties: Enemy - 14 Corpses seen but no search was made in D.F. Task area. Bn own: Offrs 3 Killed 1 Wounded. O.R.'s 16 Killed 46 wounded. Remark in margin: An epic in the Battalion and Regimental History for Gallantry. Lt Coles S.B. Lt Col ? 0600: Heavy & continuous rain.
