Entry 0540: More enemy activity round C Coy: conc. on D.F. Mortar called for. 0600: Lt Edrupt returns. C Coy in very good heart & definitely secured upper hand. Rations & amn. low as 2 Pls 1 LON SCOT still at CALABRITTO with C Coy. 0730: SITREP to Bde 0830: D.F. Trace received 0915 - 0950: Intense shelling Bn Area. 1345: Coy 1 L.I.R. return to own Bn 1400: Bde SITREP 1630: Order issued to clear rd & supply C Coy at dark 1900 - : Rd clearing operation proceeded (1) Fighting patrol cleared enemy from rd & took up posns. astride (brief contacts with enemy) (2) Sappers cleared Rd of mines covered by patrol - 4 'S' mines only found (3) 4 Carriers containing Amn. Rations Rum proceeded & unloaded at Calabritto: also 1 White Armed Amb, which evacuated casualties (4) 20 Reinforcements marched to C Coy (5) 2 Carriers shot up by Spandau on return. 1 was ditched. Remnants of one coy on RAZOR BACK and behind MONASTERY HILL Serial 50: Date 12 Nov: Time 1835: Unit LIR: Informant OP: 1500 hrs 2 men walking along hedge in front of MASSA LA VALLE. Clearly visible and no attempt at concealment. 1505 hrs man emerged from wood 924032 and went to house at 926034 along track, carrying heavy load
