| Entry | 0540: C Coy patrol at CASPOLI 9708 1115: Brigadier visits Bn HQ orders Bn to relieve 1 Lon Scot night 10/11 Nov. 1200: Sitrep from Bde 1400: Corps Cmd visit Bn HQ possibility of getting tanks up MULE TRACK 1530: O. Gp. at Bn HQ details of relief. 1630: Bn O.O. No.4 and D.F. tasks issued. 1800: Bn leaves VEZZARA 2000: Place 949049: Bn HQ est. Relief proceeded at 2100. All 1 LON SCOT had pulled out except 2 pls. of C Coy in CALABRITTO where own C Coy was relieving C & D Coys 1 LON SCOT 2100: At 2100: CALABRITTO was counterattacked and O.C. C. Coy Lon. Scot. decided to stay put with his HQ .and 2 Pls. This inf. was brought back by a wounded LON SCOT Officer. Wireless and line commn. with C Coy both failed. C Coy were attacked twice more that night losing 1 killed and 5 wounded. Heavy mortar and shell fire proceeded each attack after which hand to hand fighting took place in the village. Also few more men near mined house 919033. Movement of men and vehs on rd other side of river considerable activity seen area 901038 where gun was believed to have fired from last night Informant C: Reports above wire continues to river and there were mines this side of wire.
