Entry Draft of 60 men posted to 1st Bn Sherwood Foresters. Draft of 55 men posted to 2nd Bn Glosters Draft of 89 men posted to Miscellaneous Units. DISBANDMENT OF 5TH BN THE ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGT. COMPLETED. OPERATIONAL COMMITTMENTS GUARDS In addition to the normal Coy and Bn. Guards the Bn supplied the following guards 2.e.f. 5 June 46:- C Coy - Amn Dump, Bechenham - 2 NCOs and 10 men. A & D Coys - Central Med Depot, Peine - 2 NCOs and 6 men. B Coy - Clothing Depot, Ahrbingen - 2 NCOs and 12 men. Amn Depot, Wehmingen - 2 NCOs and 16 Men. PATROLS Curfew and Security Patrols were carried out be some of the Coys during the latter part of the month. TRAINING Owing to the Bn move, heavy guard commitments and the disbandment of the unit little or no training was carried out during the month. RECREATION No sport was played during the month. A large amount of Coy dances were held when the Bn arrived in its new location, and during the last 10 days of the month these took on the appearance of "Farewell Dances". Trucks were run most evenings so that personnel could take advantage of the excellent and variety shows held at the RAF Station, Hildesheim. METEOROLOGICAL The Weather during the past month has been very wet and there have been only about seven fine and warm days.
